Last night - went to Plan B in Malmö. Really reminds me of an all-ages club I used to go to as a teen. Good vibes. Two dance floors inadvertently set up a case study in laptop DJing vs CDJ DJing. Neither was better than the other, just cool to compare. Had a blast, stayed past 1 am - will go again!

I felt AWESOME about my livestream last night but I hit a snag with the new gear RIGHT AT THE END 😭 So I re-recorded today, and lo, IT IS DONE! I love this set; it perfectly captures my five years DJing. I hope you dig it!

This is happening tonight, and it’s going to be a lot of fun :-) I’m doing the whole gig on the new gear, from a thumb drive, without a laptop. I’ll be sound-checking with some slow jams at 8:30 PM US EDT and then things get crazy at the top of the hour. Come hang out!

The Omnis Duo gets a lot of hate, but I have to say that sitting on my couch and coming up with a set on the fly was a LOT of fun. 512gb SD card with my whole music collection on it FTW

My usual Thursday night hang-out isn’t happening this week, so the plan is to 1) eat pizza and 2) work on my next DJ set. The new controller (and the new-to-me rekordbox ecosystem) has me rethinking the way I build and perform sets. I also love the challenge of trying to do more with less… 🎵

Big changes over the weekend for my DJ stuff. For digital presence, I’ve moved from Google Sites to micro.blog, where I can handle both social media posts and a mailing list from one place. Also shifted from Mixcloud to Twitch + Soundcloud and I’m hoping to get a lot more “foot traffic” as a result.
